Our Story
It all started with a volcano
My husband and I went to Nicaragua on a mission trip as a part of our Charis Bible College experience. We loved every aspect of being there. The people were all warm, friendly, and supportive of each other, yet the needs were great. The village was a farming community that was experiencing a 3 year drought. We drove through bone-dry river beds. The rib cages and hip bones of cattle were visbily prominent. Water wells had dried up. Needless to say, the villagers needed help. However, no matter how much we did and gave while we were there, we knew that our impact was only momentary. One day, we climbed the lush sides of the Mambacho volcano and discovered that there was hope. The coffee grown on that volcano delivered a taste that was unparalleled. At that moment we realized that it was possible to make a lasting change in that community that would go beyond the time of our trip. Therefore, the idea for BonPeak was born.
Our mission at BonPeak is to make lasting, impactful, purposeful changes in the lives of individuals across the globe, and to the communities that they dwell in, and to inspire others to do the same. Therefore, our vision is to become the largest sponsor of charitable organizations worldwide.
